Artist Talk at Inkwell - Jonathan Turner
Jonathan Turner’s Street Studio
Friday 17th April, 6-8pm.
Over the past year photographer, and Chapeltown resident, Jonathan Turner has been making portraits which document, and celebrate Chapeltown’s diverse community.
Using a large format plate camera Jonathan has been setting up his ‘Street Studio’ in a variety of locations around Chapeltown. The resulting series of pictures adopts a typological approach to portraiture; each subject is presented in a similar light, framing and minimal background, creating an equality between each group or individual.
This work is currently on show at Union 105 and at Inkwell, where Jonathan will be discussing his work on
Friday 17th April, from 6-8 pm.
