Our exciting collaboration with Seven Jazz is reaching it’s climax for this year and we are offering a chance to celebrate at Christmas with some Festive Jazz!

On Sunday 15th December at Inkwell
1-4pm
£7/£5 concessions, under sixteen’s free.
The doors open at 1pm, music starts 1.30-4pm.

 

There will be three bands, all of them originated at the Seven Jazz workshops, all featuring original material.

They are:

Dom Moore Septet is Dom on guitar,John Murdoch sax, Louise Mauborgone sax, Phil Green trumpet, John Fisher piano, Steve Crocker bass, Will Powell drum.Hear them play “Call”
“Abtuse” features Becca McSharry vocals, Brian Whittington sax, Alex Celik: Trumpet, Simon Marshall: Drums, Martin Briggs: Guitar
Trevor Prinn: Bass. Hear them play “Song for Bilbao”

Will Powell’s “Short Stories” has Will on guitar, Anfre Celik on keyboards, Tom Welsh bass John Settle drums . Hear them play Yama

Jazz Cafe December 1st at Inkwell

Jazz on Sundays at Inkwell has been a resounding success with Seven Jazz providing some great upcoming and established Jazz musicians while we have provided simple lunches, homemade cakes and fresh coffee.
The next instalment will be the first Seven Jazz Cafe to be held at Inkwell.

The Seven Jazz Cafe is always lots of fun. You can bring your band, your voice or your instrument or just come to listen and watch. All ages, all standards.

The Seven Jazz workshop band will be playing and the Jazz Voices Choir singing a few too.

Come down and enjoy the vibe!

Derrick Harris Trio

This will be a relaxed, bluesy foot tapping Sunday afternoon at Inkwell Arts with guitarist Derrick Harris leads his own jazz trio. His guitar playing has been featured frequently on radio and television. The gig will feature music from Derrick’s trio CD “Once More For Luck”. Read More

The Jazz Cafe on Sundays at Inkwell is certainly pulling in a good crowd, no wonder really as the acts performing are all top notch!

Our cafe serves simple but tasty hot snacks, homemade cakes and fresh coffee and teas while the audience sit back and enjoy great music in our relaxed spacious main gallery space. We would really like to thank all our wonderful volunteers for their help with making the food and running the bar, and of course Seven Jazz who organise the musicians and event. Read More
