Open Classes
We run a range of classes that are open for anyone to join which do not require a referral. Classes and workshops in various visual arts and performance arts are available throughout the week:
Art and Design
Tuesday Art School
10.30am - 12.30pm
Develop your artistic skills in a wide range of media from pencil, pen, charcoal and paints with other artists in this friendly self directed group.
The class includes materials although you are welcome to bring your own.
Cost: Pay As You Feel per session.
Abstract Painting ( Monthly)
1.30pm – 3.30pm
Every 2nd Saturday
Join this relaxed informal group and learn how to make abstract marks using a variety of medium. The class focuses on learning to paint without a brush by using unusual found objects and tools. With artist jay Gadhia

Mindfulness Meditation
Wednesdays 10.30am - 12pm
Drop in group for those wanting to learn more about Mindfulness and Meditation: letting go of stress, self nurturing and spacious awareness.
The session has two led meditations with a coffee break.

Sewcialise
Wednesday 6pm - 9pm
Bring your own sewing projects and sew in the company of others in this relaxing and sociable group. This session is not suitable for complete beginners.
Cost: £3.50 per session
Sewing Group
Tuesday 10am - 1pm
An informal weekly group workshop where you can learn machine sewing, hand sewing and creative sewing to make toys, accessories and clothes.

Ages 16+
Cost: £5 waged / £3.50 unwaged per session
Knitting group
Monday 1pm - 3pm
Every Monday afternoon, this friendly, sociable group meet in our beautiful gallery space.
Bring your own project, your yarn, needles or crochet hooks. And of course any questions and stumbling blocks you might have with your knitting or crochet.

Jewellery Making ( Monthly)
Saturday 10.30am - 12.30pm
Every 1st Saturday of the month
Learn to design and make your own handmade jewellery by mastering techniques such as loops, wirework, textile jewellery and working with beads.
Drop-in Session
Ages 10+
Cost: £4.50 per person
Felting Class
Friday 10.30am - 12.30pm
Join textile and wool sculptor Natalia Sauvignon who will teach you wet felting and needle felting techniques. learn how to make sculptures, vases and vessels, 2D artwork and felted jewellery.
Ages 16+
Cost: £5 waged/ £3.50 unwaged per session
Music
African Drumming Class
Tuesdays 7.45pm - 9.45pm
Join this friendly class and learn to play African rhythms on Djembe and percussion.
Pricing. There is a term price (currently £50 for 7 x 2hr lessons) and a drop-in price of £10 per evening. If you are a beginner drummer you will need to start at the beginning of a term.

Jazz Choir
Wednesdays 7pm - late
The Jazz Voices choir sing popular jazz tunes so if you are interested come along! We’re back for the autumn term taught by the exceptional choir leader Tessa Smith The rehearsals this autumn will be (mostly) at Inkwell. No auditions - if you like jazz and like to sing just come along!
Cost £30 for the term (8 sessions) or £5 per session.
