Community Supports May Day 2014
All of us at Inkwell would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported our fundraising event last May Day weekend. There are over a hundred thank you’s we need to say as without you all we just couldn’t have done it….
Thank you to…
- Our amazing 40+ volunteers who worked so hard preparing for the big day and helping make the day itself run so smoothly and successfully.
- TCV ( The Conservation Volunteers) for all their amazing work in the garden. I’m sure we all agree the garden just looks better and better each year.
- The fabulous musicians, bands and DJ for putting on such an amazing performance that got the whole place up on their feet and dancing by 3pm.
- The catering and bar volunteers and staff for providing such a delicious menu, cakes and treats.
- All the generous local businesses and raffle donors who donated prizes which helped us raise £300 on this stall alone!
- Ridgeside Brewery for supplying us with tasty specially brewed vegetarian Ales.
- All the other organisations that helped us make the day so fun: Leeds Children’s Circus, Royal Voluntary Services, The Red Cross, Time to Change and Learn to Brew.
- The craft stall holders for sharing their creativity and beautiful wares.
- The local artists who exhibited in our May day Exhibition that made the inside space look so colourful and exciting.
and last but not least YOU. Thank you to everyone who came along, bought a slice of cake, a pint of Ale or a raffle ticket. May day at Inkwell is about celebrating creativity, our community, breaking down stigma attached to mental health while raising crucial funds to help keep our service running.
