Crafts Monsters Kids Crafts

Our Saturday cafe has been going from strength to strength since we re-opened this year and we have had a truly fantastic turn out every weekend. Inkwell provides a creative space for our artists during the week and at the weekends we open up and welcome members of the local community, our artists and their friends and families to come and spend some time with us.

The cafe is very much a child friendly space and the children love to make the most of our large garden space and craft sessions available. We are now pleased to be offering a new Craft Monsters session once a month for children aged 6+ that has been specially created with young people in mind.

Craft Monsters will be fun creative sessions especially designed for our younger visitors, encouraging play, inspiring creativity while they learn practical and team skills. We hope that parents and guardians will get involved in the sessions working alongside their young ones and enjoy learning something new too!

Last weekend we held a nature themed day making nature people and creatures. The creations were just fantastic - from pine-cone dogs to trapeze artists, a koala bear to fully clothed people! The children collected leaves and twigs from the garden which were carefully transformed into well-crafted and ingenious designs. A final photo shoot of all their creations took place in the garden.

 

Craft Monsters starts on March 29th and will take place every last Saturday of the month from 10.30am - 12.30pm
The first session to launch the club, we will be making giant cardboard monsters ( it seemed appropriate somehow!)
