Inkwell Arts Saturday Cafe will be celebrating it’s third anniversary next month and since it’s launch in 2012 has continued to offer a delicious vegetarian menu, homemade cakes, barrista coffees and arts and craft activities every weekend. The Cafe also provides work and training opportunities for our volunteers.

Established in November 2012 it was a development from current services to extend Inkwells curriculum of activities into the weekend, offering a safe, welcoming and innovative space for the community and people all across Leeds to visit on Saturdays.

Our volunteers take on many roles from chefs, to kitchen and cafe assistants, barristas, bakers and craft facilitators and the Saturday team continues to grow and develop as volunteers move on into paid positions or find work elsewhere.

We are really excited to be launching our new winter menu to help celebrate our three years in the cafe industry. All our food is homecooked and freshly prepared on the day by Simon our chef, with gluten free, vegan and dairy free options available. We love to source our food locally and we are proud to be supporting local cooperatives such as the Leeds Bread Co Op, ethical coffee suppliers at Union Roasted and small local business.

Our menu this winter will surely satisfy the coldest of days with warming spiced tagines, hearty winter salads, delicious tarts and filled quiches using fresh seasonal vegetables. Our cakes are homemade too, baked by our volunteer baker Hannah who loves nothing more than to try out and test new and exciting vegan cake recipes.
