Midsummer Cafe
June 21st is the longest day of the year and we are holding a special Midsummer Saturday Cafe this weekend from 10am - 4pm. Solstice, or Litha means a stopping or standing still of the sun. It is the longest day of the year and the time when the sun is at its maximum elevation.
The cafe will be open serving breakfasts, lunches and homemade cakes. Our quarterly craft fair will also be happening, giving our artists an opportunity to sell and display their beautiful handmade goods: from ceramics, textiles and artworks which you will be available to buy on the day.
This year also sees the 450th anniversary of Shakespeare’s birthday and to celebrate this occasion there will be a special performance of a Midsummer Nights Dream by local children.
So do please join us this weekend for fun arts and craft activities, delicious homemade food and cakes, a children’s performance and a stunning array of crafts available to buy at the craft fair. If you missed the chance to see our new exhibition by the talented David Black, the show will be available to view in our main gallery space too.
Entrance is completely free!
