Royal Voluntary Service (RVS) run a dementia friendly singing group twice a month at Inkwell. The group started in 2014 with just six people, and now we regularly see 20 people attending. It’s so fantastic to hear Inkwell full of song on a Monday lunchtime! The group has a lovely atmosphere of friendship and fun, singing well known songs from the Great War up to the 70s, so that people living with dementia are familiar with the songs…. and the singing is of course top notch!

The group wanted to say thank you to RVS and the volunteers that help make it happen and so are holding a special fundraising event at Inkwell – Sing Your Heart Out. This is part of the RVS charity’s national fundraising campaign to raise money through choir events and song.

As part of the Royal Voluntary Service, our singing group will sing a few well known songs to welcome you into the New Year!

Suitable for all ages.

Everyone is welcome.

Come help raise some money for RVS who provide activities for people aged over 65, donations on the night are very welcome. You are also very welcome to sing along with us!

Our cafe will be serving refreshments.
