Sunday Jazz Cafe Dates

The lovely folk at Seven Jazz have been collaborating with us providing chilled out Sunday afternoon jazz sessions regularly at Inkwell. We are really pleased to be able to confirm more dates for your diary in the next few months….

All dates are also available to view on our calendar, so keep an eye open for these exciting live acts in June and July……

Sunday 1 June – 1-4pm

Harry Orme’s band Kasseldown with Matt Anderson (tenor sax), Harry Orme (guitar),Martin Longhawn (keys) Sam Vicary (Bass) and Steve Hanley (Drums).

A new project led by guitarist Harry Orme, formed in late 2013 playing all original compositions. The compositions and approach are inspired by the music of contemporary groups led by Ari Hoenig, Aaron Parks, Gilad Hekselman, Julian Lage, Brad Mehldau, Jonathan Kreisberg, Adam Rodgers and Aaron Goldberg, as well as the great quintets of the 50s/60s led by Wayne Shorter, Miles Davis and Brown/Roach. Whilst jazz/improvised music is the common springboard, the material also often takes cues from classical, rock and folk traditions.

The band features special guest Matt Anderson, who has been making waves performing and as well as leading his own bands - Matt was one of the first performers at Inkwell in our jazz series in the autumn of 2013.
