Inkwell Arts Cafe Review

The Saturday Cafe at Inkwell has been open for about 10 weeks now since it’s launch in November last year. We believe it is still a project in its early stages and like all creative ideas it will develop and take shape. We are thrilled that the local community and vegetarian community are taking us seriously. You can read another wonderful review in About My Area written by Jo Densley who visited us this weekend.

The menu is simple, offering wholesome healthy dishes that are as colourful to look at as to eat. We are also very proud of our homemade cakes which according to Cluny Macpherson the Regional Director of the Arts Council was ‘the best cake in Yorkshire’

These coming months we plan to focus on the Cafe and will bring you a revised and improved seasonal menu. We also musn’t forget to mention our Gourmet Veggie Breakfast which will be a regular feature on the menu very soon. The cooked breakfast was tried and tested by Diane Abbot MP and other VIP guests who visited Inkwell last week. It seemed the perfect excuse to try it out as they all arrived early on Friday morning for their breakfast meeting. The feedback was wonderful and everyone enjoyed their time spent with us and their meal.

If you haven’t paid us a visit yet why not pop down and try your hand at some crafts? We would love to see you. Enjoy our relaxed space and indulge in some delicious cake or a wholesome vegetarian lunch.

We are open Saturdays 10am - 4pm.

Every morning 10.30am - 12.30pm - Ceramics workshop ( £5 per person)

Every Afternoon 1.30pm - 3.30pm - Batik Workshop ( £5 per person)

Additional arts and craft activities will also be offer at these times ranging from jewellery making, paper crafts, home decor ideas, felt making - (crafts vary each week.)
