“Fun, Rewarding, Empowering”
Much of our work and what we do is delivered by talented and dedicated volunteers who are an invaluable part of our service.
We believe the volunteer journey is also a crucial part of what we offer. Volunteering with us is an excellent way to build confidence, meet people, improve self esteem and self worth, integrate with your community and learn and share new skills through involvement, ownership and active participation.
There are many ways you can get involved and help us to improve and maintain our services. We offer a variety of volunteering opportunities and roles such as barrista work, admin assistants, craft facilitators, catering staff. We also have roles within the marketing and exhibitions teams and with three big annual events additional help at these busy times is always appreciated.
People volunteer with us for several different reasons: perhaps you support Leeds Mind and want to donate your time to help a mental health charity in Leeds, or maybe you want to help build your CV to move into employment, or gain further hands on experience in a particular voluntary role. If you are interested in joining us we would love to hear from you.
We work alongside other Leeds Mind services such as Work Place Leeds offering users an opportunity to gain work experience in their journey towards their own employment goals or those taking important steps towards gaining further qualifications and education.
We hold open information sessions on the last Thursday of every month from 1pm - 2pm where you can visit our space and find out more about ways to get involved.
